Through the Career Development Unit of the Doctoral Training Department
Throughout the year and in collaboration with other administrative offices of the University of Strasbourg, the Career Development Unit (Pôle Poursuite de carrière) offers activities to help doctoral students develop their skills and put them into practice (for example, through doctoral missions, thematic workshops, meetings with experts, etc.).

Through the Doctoral Skills Development Programme of the Information, Guidance and Professional Integration Office
The Doctoral Skills Development Programme (Programme valorisation de compétences – NCT) of the Information, Guidance and Professional Integration Office (Espace Avenir) is aimed at doctoral students at the end of their degree (third year or higher). It is designed to enable them to actively prepare for their (post-thesis) career and optimise their professional transition. They are guided and coached by mentors and advisers specialised in organisation and human resources.

Through individual appointments for doctoral students
Personalised appointments for each individual to discuss the post-thesis period: prospects, career-transition strategy, communication tools (CV, cover letter, interviews, etc.). For more information, send an email to espace-avenir@unistra.fr.

Get training in entrepreneurship and the start-up world
The University of Strasbourg provides support to doctoral students in their entrepreneurial journey. It enables them to transform their thesis projects into innovative solutions, and to acquire entrepreneurial and socio-economic skills to boost their careers.

- With the the French Association for the Employment of Executives (Association pour l'Emploi des Cadres –Apec) and its annual CAP Docteurs event
- With the PhDOOC – PhD and Career Development MOOC: a free online training course that enables doctoral students to access resources in French and English, develop key professional skills and interact with experts and other doctoral students
