PhD graduation ceremony and thesis awards
Every June, the University of Strasbourg holds a ceremony to award doctoral degrees (diplômes de doctorat) to PhD students who defended their thesis the previous year.
The ceremony brings together PhD graduates, their families, thesis supervisors and university representatives. It is attended by elected university officials and the directors of the university's doctoral schools.
The event also provides an opportunity to present thesis awards (prix de thèse), recognising the outstanding research achievements of the year.

Career paths of PhD graduates
Every two years, the Regional Observatory for Higher Education and Graduate Employment (Observatoire régional de l'enseignement supérieur et de l'insertion professionnelle des étudiants – Oresipe) conducts a survey on the career paths of PhD graduates from the doctoral schools of the University of Strasbourg and the Université de Haute-Alsace.
