Overview
The National Centre for Scientific Research (Centre national de la recherche scientifique – CNRS) is a public research organisation active across all scientific fields. Its mission is to leverage all scientific disciplines to tackle current global challenges. Established in 1960, the CNRS Alsace regional office (délégation régionale CNRS Alsace) is located on the Cronenbourg campus.
The University of Strasbourg and the CNRS share over 40 laboratories, as well as responsibility for scientific platforms and national research infrastructures. Each of these laboratories is affiliated with one or more CNRS institutes.
