Overview
One of the university's main objectives is to implement a sustainable development and social responsibility strategy that is understood and applied by everyone in the university community, at all levels.
To achieve this, the Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Office (Mission développement durable et responsabilité sociétale – DD&RS) has the following responsibilities:
- Leading the university’s work to obtain the Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility award (label Développement durable et responsabilité sociétale – DD&RS)
- Supporting projects that make the campus more environmentally responsible
- Developing training for staff and students
- Supporting laboratories in adopting more sustainable practices
- Coordinating and promoting sustainable development and social responsibility initiatives led by students, teaching staff, researchers and administrative and technical staff
Since March 2021, the university has appointed a Vice-President for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility to represent the sustainable development and social responsibility strategy within its decision-making bodies.
The Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Office is funded by an Initiatives of Excellence (IdEx) project and directly reports to the General Services Office (Direction générale des services – DGS).
