Overview
Campus France is a public institution under the joint supervision of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. It is responsible for promoting French higher education internationally and supporting international students and researchers coming to France.
Missions
Campus France works to:
- Promote the programmes offered by French institutions on the Campus France website and through events
- Implement scholarship and mobility programmes
- Provide information to international students and researchers to help them prepare for their arrival at their host university
- Support higher education institutions in improving services for welcoming and supporting international students as part of the "Bienvenue en France" strategy and award
- Promote the Erasmus+ programme
- Coordinate and engage the French higher education alumni network
Campus France also recognises higher education institutions that are committed to improving the experience of international students with the "Bienvenue en France" award. The University of Strasbourg has held the "Bienvenue en France" award since 2019, with the maximum rating of 3 stars.
