Steering and Continuous Improvement Office

Overview

The Steering and Continuous Improvement Office (Direction du pilotage et de l'amélioration continue – DPAC) supports the University of Strasbourg's steering and continuous improvement approach.

It reports directly to the Director General of Services and is under the political responsibility of the Vice-President for Digital Strategy and Organisational Simplification.

The Steering and Continuous Improvement Office supports the smooth running of the university by helping governance and staff make informed decisions and implement transformative projects.

It does this by:

• Providing dashboards and data tools to help university management monitor performance and guide decision-making, in collaboration with the university’s central administrative offices.
• Tracking key indicators to assess progress and performance against strategic goals, and responding to external requests from oversight bodies and partners
• Conducting student surveys, including those on graduate employment outcomes, to assess university programmes and services
• Supporting changes in organisation and processes, including digitalisation, as part of continuous improvement
• Helping staff adopt quality management and improvement practices, guided by the university’s Quality and Continuous Improvement Road Map
• Supporting transformative projects across the university, particularly through project management support and change management initiatives
• Assessing activity and risk management and supporting their improvement, particularly through internal audit.

Through its five departments, the Steering and Continuous Improvement Office supports the implementation of the university’s Quality and Continuous Improvement Road Map for 2023–2027.
