Short-term mobility students

Short-term programmes organised by the International Relations Directorate

The International Relations Directorate organises short-term programmes in the framework of various international partnerships.

These programmes, often offered in English, are tailor-made to meet the demands of our partners and can cover different themes in several fields:

  • Arts, letters, languages
  • Law, Economics and Management, Political and Social Sciences
  • Human and Social Sciences
  • Science and Technology
  • Health Sciences

A cultural programme, such as the discovery of the city, the region and the European institutions, is also offered as a complement to the courses.

Courses in French as a foreign language (FLE) at all levels are also possible.

The DRI takes care of the logistical organisation of these programmes.

Short-term FLE programmes (French as a foreign language)

DAI

The DAI (Dispositif d'Accueil et d'Intégration des étudiants étrangers inscrits en programmes d'échanges internationaux/Reception and Integration Scheme for foreign students enrolled in international exchange programmes) is a short-term programme organised by the DRI in partnership with the IIEF and the Eurométropole de Strasbourg and taking place in the last two weeks of August. This programme, intended for international students enrolled in an exchange programme, includes French as a foreign language (FLE) courses, introduction to university methodology, cultural activities and visits as well as accommodation in a university residence. To participate, it is necessary to have a B1 level in French and to be enrolled in a course that is held in French language.

Individual French language course

This course, which takes place in the last two weeks of August, is organised by the IIEF within the framework of the label Bienvenue en France. This programme is intended for all international students who start their academic year in September and who have a B1 level of French.

International Summer Courses

These courses are organised by the IIEF and take place in July. You can choose the duration of the courses (1, 2 or 3 weeks). The courses are subject for a charge and are open to all international students of all levels who start their academic year in September.

Short-term programmes organised by the faculties

Some faculties organise short-term programmes, sometimes called summer or winter schools. These programmes may last a few days or weeks and contribute to explore one or more topics in greater depth.

Here are some examples of short programmes that take place regularly (this list is not exhaustive):

Language Faculty: The Language Faculty offers two short-term programmes:

-          Euroculture Summerschool in partnership with the Universities of Deusto, Groningen, Göttingen, Krakow, Olomouc, Udine and Uppsala. Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies/CEIPI – The CEIPI organises various training seminars to deepen your knowledge in the field of intellectual property. Telecom Physics Engineering School – Télécom Physique Strasbourg organises, in partnership with other universities, two

short-term programmes around the themes of medical robotics and information technologies for health, photonics for health and medical image processing.
