Project-based work will form the basis of much of your Masters level work. You may be asked to produce many different kinds of scientific reports, bibliogrpahic studies, original research, field or experimental work, etc. They all require some basic skills:

• thinking ahead and planning;
• writing clearly;
• integrating information from many sources.

This course will cover the basics of each of these skills. In this class, you will be asked to apply them in on the topic of the research project you have selected for the second semester, but they are applicable accross the board.
 

The aim of this course is to help you develop essential skills that will help you with any kind of project, including those you will carry out for your Master's degree. By the end of this course you will have

• planned the research project you will carry out next semester;
• developped and exercised your scientific writing skills;
• performed a bibliographic review relevant to your research topic.
