The Distance Learning Service (EAD) at the University of Strasbourg is responsible for providing university courses which lead to a diploma for students who are not able to be in Strasbourg. In order to do this, it runs its courses and exams to comply with national regulations.
The Service works in collaboration with the university faculties (UFR), the other teaching centres of the Interuniversity Distance Learning Federation and any university or outside partners where the provision of distance learning seems likely to improve their teaching.
The courses offered are divided into units (which correspond to the ECTS system) and are designed to prepare students for university exams equivalent to a national diploma (Diplôme national). They can be either introductory or additional courses, or elements of general education at university level.
Registering for a distance learning course does not exempt you from the usual registration requirements. Please contact the relevant department.
